And oh yes, Jack is an awesome character (and one of the many, many reasons I love the revival of Doctor Who, which my friend Mark got me into): he's a time-travelling con man, but he undergoes something like a conversion and becomes a much more altruistic (if still mischievous and *very* flirtatious) person.
