****1/2 out of *****

If you were worried that TwhineliteTwilight had put a stake through the heart of vampire movies, then fear not: this one puts the fangs back into the mouths of the blood-drinkers.

... I can't really think of anything to say because I basically agree with everything you said. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and it was nice they stuck with so many traditional vampire traits.

Hee, good point to bring up! I have to admit to liking cuddly vamps, but I do like to see vamps with the more traditional (or at least archetypal) traits as well.

I wanna see this so hard.

I also saw an Interview with Ethan, with Conan O'Brien - he mentioned the film was in the works BEFORE the vampire craze really hit.

Heh... now I'm wondering if the hero's first name is a revision or just a coincidence, though I don't put a whole lot of stock in coincidence...

Here via the Daybreakers community. This is a really nifty review, with just the right amount of summary and a well-judged context putting for the film. I hope it does well. Have you seen the Swedish film Let The Right One In? It was released in the UK after the first Twilight movie was unleashed and certainly wasn't cuddly.

:: Bows:: Thanks for the critique of my critique! :: Smiles:: I haven't seen "Let the Right One In" yet, though I plan to and I've flipped through the book it was based on.
