What reality developed into maybe is a much worse picture of dystopia than anyone who ever tried his hand at drawing it imagined: Nearly everything is free to access, but making use of that opportunity may end you up with any kind of punishment

Totally with you here. Sometimes see some dystopian satire and think...hm wait the reality is much worse...

The written and filmed utopias are more like a simpler depicturing of the present which make it more tangible what's going on.
