Apparently PS7 isn't good enough. Has to be coming out of Illustrator. I don't have Illustrator, naturally. "Well, go buy it." I'm told. With what? My good looks? I just don't think Adobe is going to accept that currency, how about you?
Damn it. I wasted three hours this morning on this stuff for nothing.
The worst of it is that he had three opportunities to tell me that the PS7 stuff isn't going to meet his needs. I sent one, he asked for cleanup, which I did, and sent another, and he said it was fuzzy (It wasn't.). And I've done stuff for him before in PS7 without trouble. I think it may just be this particular image that he wants done.
He did accept the other one I did yesterday. After the customer made a bunch more changes. Thankfully I just had to move a few things around and add a papillion. (that little dog was a nightmare to create. If you don't put in details, the little dog loses all character as a line drawing, but you can't put in many details or it won't match the rest of the work.) That's a few bucks. Not much, but better than nothing.
