It’s all about Television (for me)

So WHY was I up until almost 4am? Because I am insane. No, really. I found a layout I really liked for my journal, but then didn’t like that it didn’t show the mood theme/tags (not too worried about the tags, but why have a mood theme installed if I cannot see it!). So I went crazy last night trying to find coding to fix the issue. I messed it up ( Read more... )

me: tv-obsessed, feeling: angry, lj: crap-they-do, feeling: happy, lj: layout, feeling: geeky-nerdy, tv: ncis, thoughts: tv-show, tv: vampire-diaries, feeling: excited, feeling: upset, question:

I'm not much for TV, but I'm excited for Big Bang Theory to come back! I'm all caught up and craving more.

I'll also be watching Law & Order: SVU this season, and may or may not watch BONES. I haven't been thrilled with what I've read about BONES for next season. I may wait until they wrap up the current arc and just watch all at once. I hate when they drag stuff out over multiple episodes (and seasons for that matter).

Oh yes! How could I forget Big Bang Theory! I have been watching the repeats on TBS, but I am hoping to actually watch the new season when it comes out. THANK YOU for that reminder *smacks head*

I was so into BONES at first, but then I kind of lost interest. I think it happened when other shows that I became more captivated with showed on the same night and then I just kind of let it slip me by.

Yeah ... if you can't come up with some new and exciting episodes that you need to drag things out; that's usually not a good sign. UNLESS it's building up to a really big and crazy season finale, but it still shouldn't take the entire episode, and every episode... should be bits and pieces, leaving you guessing. If that makes sense LOL

A lot of those sound good. When are they starting.

I remember there was a Beauty and the Beast show on Syfy once that I really liked. It was dark and amazing.

Arrow - Premieres: Wednesday, Oct 10 at 8/7c
Beauty and the Beast - Premieres: Thursday, Oct 11 at 9/8c
Elementary - Premieres: Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10/9c
Revolution - Premieres: Monday, September 17 at 10:00/9:00c

I am hoping they are as good as they sound. Sometimes they really have a lot of promise, but they will get actors that may not be all that great and a show that could be awesome ends up sucking because you can't stand the main character or a few of the others.

Here's the description they have for Beauty and the Beast: Kristin Kreuk and Kiwi Jay Ryan star in the titular roles, but don't expect dancing candelabras or even a hairy beast. Ryan's Vincent Keller/beast will have nothing more than a scar on his face, though his actions will get "beastlier," as the producers put it, as the series progresses. The show is a remake of the 1987 procedural starring Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman. Hamilton sent Kreuk and Ryan notes and photos wishing them good luck.

Yeah, I felt that way about Terra Nova. Which that show I loved but the writing wasn't as good as it could be. There was too much of a cheese factor for the genre and they focused on the wrong aspects of the plotlines. I hope they find a new network for it, but I doubt they will. They left it in a crappy spot though. So it would be nice to have a sense of closure like Jericho had. That show was AWESOME.

Yes that 1987 version is the one I saw I think! Marking all of this on my calendar!

I remember when I could stay up this late and still function the other day, but, in my defense, I did go to bed 1:30am yesterday! But I'm in need of a bed right now.

As for the TV shows, I don't watch many shows anymore, except for Modern Family, Revenge and Mad Men.

Ha! Can't say I function all that great and i do remember I used to do MUCH better in my younger years. My body just doesn't want to sleep when it is supposed to sleep, but then wants to sleep when it needs to be awake. I swear, I am nocturnal! (:

I love TV, especially in the colder months when there really isn't that much to do around here except watch TV> Of course, our colder months are turning into your warmer months ... In the summer I do not watch much TV except the occasional rerun when it's storming out or I am feeling lazy (which does happened more than I'd like to admit this summer).

I haven't paid much attention to 'new' shows coming out this fall.

I've been enjoying some of the shows I regularly watch. Warehouse 13, Burn Notice, White Collar, Falling Skies. Maybe I'll take a stab at looking at what's new and let you know what I think.

I dropped Netflix about the time that they announced they were going to split the dvd and the streaming service into two services and you had to pay for each seperately. I haven't come back to it yet.

They took Stargate off of instant streaming for netflix? that sucks. I fear that there are too many 'players' in the instant streaming business.. and that right now there isn't a centralized place for one person to go in order to watch tv shows and movies. I thought Hulu plus was going to be that 'place', but netflix and amazon entered the fray.. :( it just sucks because all it comes down to is money.. everyone wants a cut of the pie.

Oh yes, I love my Burn Notice and Warehouse 13. I tried to watch Falling Skies, but for some reason Sunday nights are just a really bad TV night for me. I never watch tv on those nights ... so I started missing the episodes after the like 4 one ... I COULD watch it the next day, but in the summer I am not too big on TV, so it takes a pretty good show to keep me indoors (Warehouse/Burn Notice) ... and I do watch Game of Thrones a few days later once it's available online.

I was always an instant queue gal, so when they made that change it didn't affect me TOO much, but I know my brother cancelled his because of it since he was getting both disc's and instant. It's so frustrating. I do have PRIME via amazon, so I will have to check out their stuff.

Yep ... ALL about money. I'm still sore they took down Stargate Atlantis ... LMAO!

I'm really looking forward to Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire, although I will probably watch them on DVD.

Yeah, Game of Thrones I try to watch all the episodes in one shot because it just makes it all more entertaining the way it is set up. So I often wait for them to come out all together as well.

Boardwalk Empire sounds interesting. I may have to check it out (:
