my brother wanted to join the isreali army. so he enlisted in a program for american kids to be in the isreali army. he had to take tests and go through a physical and do a bunch of work to get in the program. and then he went to isreal, where he discovered the program was 18 months, not 12 and he'd get one leave not three. and he wasnt going to ( Read more... )

Well, it's good that he's able to get out. In many countries I think military service is a fine thing and a natural expectation of the culture. But it's not like it is on the GO ARMY! commercials, either.

And I would come to Bmore in June!

well, andrew isnt sure if he will be going home to a wedding or not. but i want to book a plane ticket now... so i need to make sure i'd have someone to pick me up and take care of me for a few days if we didnt end up going to the wedding... so if you think you can do that, i'll book a flight this weekend.

I can most definitely be that person that picks you up and takes care of you for a few days. :) I'm so excited to see you again! (And Steve said that he's excited to meet you.)

Also, did you ever get the birthday email that I sent you? I sent it from work, so I worried that I typed in your address incorrectly. :( But it was full of love and good things and hope and cheer.
