Oooh, I'm extra-jealous now. It looked pretty similar in '92 - although there weren't any actual hotels, and no electricity in any of the rooms we stayed in (although there was a complimentary enormous can of insect killer). Is there still a bootleg "Hard Rock Cafe" - that made me laugh a lot, and had really good rubs for their fish (in an eating, rather than piscine cardiovascular massage sense).
Goodness me, there was nothing as sophisticated as that establishment. The only way to tell the places apart was the staggering distance from the restaurant/bar to the room. They were all kind of lean-to places, open to the beach with cushions.
And I don't remember it being overrun with cats (there were 2 or 3, but maybe they haven't had anything to watch on the telly since then).
Three of us went and always shared a room and caused something of a stir by being 2 blokes and a girl.
Thanks. It was lovely. The towels thing became a bit of a thing each afternoon when we returned to our room - what are they going to model them into today?!
