Room 421, Monday Afternoon

Lindsay was very happy she was still a girl. That transformation, she was sure, would have majorly freaked her out. She was relieved not to have transformed into an animal also. At least Peter the pug seemed to be handling that okay. He couldn't actually tell her that since everything he said was in dog language ( Read more... )

Peter was about to bark his approval at that idea.

Instead, a very feminine voice said "Arf."

Followed by a "...You know, I thought something was different yesterday."

Peter did not look pleased.

He also looked like a lady.

Lindsay dropped her phone before she had the chance to dial. This was more of an urgent matter. "You're human shaped again! And girl shaped, and uh...I've got clothes if you need to borrow them. Um."

She grabbed her army jacket and tossed it toward him, making sure to look anywhere but at him. Her? She was so confused and relieved he had transformed into a girl. Otherwise? Way more awkward.

Oh hey. Peter had been so surprised at the fact he was human again (and not his normal self still) he'd not noticed the draftiness.

He wasn't actually embarrassed. Probably because he was a girl.

He pulled on Lindsay's jacket and nodded a thanks. "I think maybe a pair of pants or something," he said. "I'm pretty sure I can't run around the halls bottomless. That might get me detention."

"Right, pants. Pants are good." She found a pair of jeans in her drawer, tossing them toward Peter. "Detention would be bad."

Rinoa breezed back into the room, feeling at least a little more settled in her skin than she had yesterday. She might be a boy for a while, so she might as well adjust. Which meant picking up some clothes at the store downtown handwavily.

She glanced between the two people in the room, very confused. "Who's your friend?" she asked. "Am I interrupting?"

She could leave. She had no idea her roommate had a girlfriend. Awww.

"Uh. No! Not interrupting," Lindsay said somewhat awkwardly. "That's Peter. Normally a boy. Kinda like how you're normally a girl. He was a dog before this."

It was a wonder Peter even remembered who he was.

"Oh," Rinoa said, nodding at Peter and trying to follow along. "Oh! The puppy? The pug? That's him?"

Rinoa was not going to complain about her day, at this point. Since Peter was clearly having a far worse one.

"Yes, he was the pug," Lindsay confirmed. "Man, this place is so freaking weird."

Understatement, that.
