A Hunting I Will Go...

"A hunting I will go, hi-ho the dairy-oh a hunting I will go." Mads sang in the brisk morning air as he approached Tino and Berwald's hut and banged obnoxiously on the door. "WAKE UP SVENK, Short-Stuff! Today we bring back food for squaws and little braves."

Tino's groggy voice could be heard from within. "You better be calling me Little Brave ( Read more... )

The moment they arrived back at camp and were able to set down their hunting implements, Eduard set his bow and quiver of arrows to the side and looked around. "There wouldn't happen to be any distilled spirits or anything else of an antiseptic nature around, would there Siguard?" He asked the Norwegian, knowing that if anybody had a clue as to the location of something he could use to properly clean and sterilize his wound, the stoic fae-charmer would. "When is Eeva expected back? I also need to borrow a needle and thread unless anybody else here is in possession of one they wouldn't mind me using for a few stitches ( ... )

Eeva puffed a bit with her hands on her hips once she was finished. "There's a nearby medic?" She glowered. She'd not been made aware of this fact and had been assuming herself the only semi-qualified medical individual within three miles of camp, now that she thought about it, it would be only logical for the park to do that, but it just hadn't crossed her mind before. "Why didn't you tell me there was a medic? Berwald has to be having a coronary, he doesn't know that I have any emergency training." She grumbled, putting away her supplies. "But he is right, that will hold you together until you see the medic and he can grade my handiwork. I've not put stitches in a person in a real person in while, last stitches I put in a real person was in my dad's hand last summer, so they may not be fit to last like an experienced medic's stitches. I'm not really a doctor yet, certainly not a trauma doctor. But before you go to the medic with Eduard, Gilbert, I want you to go run and tell Berwald that everything is okay for now, I do actually ( ... )

"Absolutely not. I'm sure they heard me and I'm out on a limb and need a little assistance Ti. Um. I seem to be naked outside and can't find the door back inside." Berwald chuckled to himself feeling around for the door frame on the teetering on-lake Sauna.

"I think I need a bit of rescuing here Alskling. Naked Viking in distress!"

"I was unaware that we had a medic on site until just now, myself. The task, however, was performed correctly and with far more than adequate skill and proper precautions. I see no difference between the job you just did and the job this medic guy would have done, except he would have antiseptic liquid and thread with a brand name on it. You did well, E." Eduard assured both his friend and himself calmly. He tended to get a little more clinical when trying to comfort somebody because he frankly was a little out of practice with such things. With Tino it was easy. He just had to let himself be hugged and everything was golden. With Gilbert? Beer, wurst, cheese, cute things, or sex...he was far too easy to figure out. But others though...he still had some work to do ( ... )

Eeva stuck a finger in his face. "I know emergency field medicine, it doesn't make me a medical professional in trauma. You'll see the medic before dinner. If you come to dinner without giving me a note from the medic I won't give you, OR YOU," She shook that finger at Gilbert, "Anything to eat until I have proof you've talk to the medic. Are we crystal?" She raised an eyebrow. Eduard knew there was never any way to flatter or sweet talk his way out of something with Eeva, Tino was easy as was Gilbert, but Eeva was the boss of then growing up and she still considered herself the boss ( ... )

"I'm not distressed, I just don't want family going septic on us." Berwald chuckled leaning over to plant a return kiss to Tino's sweaty brow.

"So what did you bring for my belly? I'm hungry enough to eat you right now." Berwald replied getting as comfortable as he could on wooden benches.

"Ja, I get it. I'll take this uber manly beast killing genius to the medic guy. Where the hell is he anyway?" Gilbert scratched his head, trying to figure out the direction in his head. "Fuck it. We'll find the place. Just wake our asses up when it's time for dinner, ja? I'm thinking we're going to pass out in the hut after this dude gives Birdie the green light in the stitch job ( ... )

Eeva propped her hands up against her hips, "He's going through withdrawal. He's using a stick to write equations in the sand of the bank. He can't leave it well enough alone. Said he had a break through shortly after breakfast and has only paused from it for a few minutes at a crack to wander and think some more before rushing back off to it. But I'll let him know you're looking to do some vulcan mind melding with him when I see him next, now scoot. I'm still resentful." She smiled, motioning for them to leave already.

"Well, ME is always on the menu, but I think that's more of a dessert kind of deal isn't it?" Tino chuckled, nuzzling into the feeling and physical affections of his boyfriend. "But here, whole basket full of non-cookables. Cheese and breads and I even found some kind of mustard type stuff. Smelled good in the jar at least..." He smiled, pulling the basket between them and digging through it to share the spoils. "Let's get you fed." Tino purred, he loved feeding his giant. Even if it took enough to fill an army.

"Yes, please feed me and yes, you are the best of desserts." Berwald said planting a kiss somewhere in the vicinity of a cheek or shoulder. It was dark, steamy and he was blind. At least he made contact with some sort of Tino flavored skin.

"You take good care of me. I sometimes wonder where I would be now without you. I often wonder if I'd still be alive, would I still be that miserable hermit who lived across the hall from you? Would I have ended it after I found out about my father? Then I think about the notes and presents I'd tape to your door. That first kiss I stole from you there on our first picnic. The first time you kissed me back. Every smile you give me gives me a reason for breathing. You're magic. You are the light of my life, I hope you know that." Berwald murmured in a very sappy mood suddenly. Twisting his ring on his finger absently as he looked at the steam encased pinkish blob sitting beside him in the sauna.

The temptation was simply too great for the genius to bear, and just as he was being carried past the fire pit on the way to the medic hut, he reached down and grabbed a handful of his boyfriend's perfectly sculpted posterior. His own backside was normally the center of attention when it came to their amorous activities, but there was simply no resisting. It was like the borg, or perhaps a high powered tractor beam drawing his hands to the firm cloth-covered cheeks. Personally, Eduard didn't think his was really all that great, especially not in comparison to his boyfriend's, but was still pleased that Gilbert seemed to never tire of the sight of it.

"I really don't like to think about that." Tino offered, dabbing some of the spread on the bread and plopping a healthy portion of cheese on it. "I don't like to imagine you worse off than you were right before we met. I know, normally, I would say something like 'oh, you wouldn't have felt that bad for long' or 'you would have been fine, you're stronger than that' but sometimes I think that there's only so much a human heart can take before it just can't take it anymore and while it pains me, the what-ifs of it all are terribly haunting. What if I'd been able to just go on assuming it was Siguard, Francis or Ivan who had left me those cookies? Or what if your nanny hadn't sent them and inspired you, or what if I just failed to mention that I liked them in my blog? It's so fragile, and we are so lucky. You scold me for having morbid thoughts, so no more thinking about that time line. It can't happen. You're stuck with me, no turning back the clock." He smiled, glad for Berwald's vision impairments keeping him from noticing the ( ... )
