A Dummies Guide to One Direction
One Direction
Okay so unless you're living under a rock you;ve probably heard of One Direction. The boyband from the UK that's taking over the lives of your friends or siblings or enemies, or all of them. I don't know.
Well I'm just really happy they're getting so much recognition because they were so cute, funny and humble on XFactor and I always just wanted them to do well and now they have and the fandom is so big and awesome and I want it to be bigger so I thought I'd write a post (well it was originally an email I sentwordgasmic to try and entice her to join me - I think it worked - but I edited it) to explain just who they are and their dynamic. I wanted to get
across their personalities individually and as a group but that failed and this is the mess you've got instead. Hope you like :)
We will start of with a little introduction to each of the members. There are 5 of them. Harry, Zayn, Liam, Niall and Louis. They're all between the ages of 18 and 21 and auditioned for X Factor. Okay anyway so they all have nice voices but let's be honest none of them would have made it as individual artists. So yeah here they all are
1. Liam Payne. http://www.9-men.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/liam_payne.jpg Liam is 18 (August 1993) and actually auditioned back in 2008 but didn't get through to live shows and so he came back in 2010 and auditioned again. 3. He's 19 and from Bradford. He is so odd and random and that is why he might just be my favourite. He also has a really odd face and I love it. So anyway yeah as you can see they all got through to bootcamp but then well…didn't make it though to the final round which is Judges Houses but something cool happened and well… watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7opgMkqZBE
So yeah they all get 3 or 4 weeks off between bootcamp and judges houses and then well…they're now at Judges houses and there are 8 acts and they have to sing for one judge (in this case it's Simon Cowell) and only 4 acts go through. Then they're singing in the live shows every week and thankfully never even get put in the bottom two. I won't make you listen to their performances but watch these. This is what made me fall in love with them (they're short don't worry)

They make it all up to the final where they lose out and end up in 3rd place. They are sad. After the show ended everything went quiet on the One Direction front for about 6 months when suddenly a wild song appeared! It was their famous That's What Makes You Beautiful and well that's when they blew up and became like they are now. This is a mini documentary about them that I really really hope you watch because Harry in part 3 is the cutest thing I've ever seen but you need to see the first couple parts too!
