Induction Problem

Hi there. I'm working on this induction problem and simply cannot figure out how to make it work. Any advice would be appreciated.

I haven't actually worked it out, but have you tried just expanding the RHS of that bottom line and expanding the RHS of the top equation for n=k+1? Theoretically they should be equal and then give you a clue how to work from one to the other. I hope that helps!
