tyrell gives us an interesting quote: When asked about the quality of television today he made a comment that "Nothing on TV has ever been as good as (the new) Battlestar Galactica."!
Who said that, you ask? Joss Whedon. The guy who made Buffy, Angel, Firefly. The one that Uncle Rusty is trying to copy, rather than learn from and build upon ( Read more... )

Not quite asleep, just backreading and trying to get the energy to comment on a few posts; failing miserably at most, but there y'go.

This would be the same Joss Whedon who called Veronica Mars the 'best show ever' not so long ago?

Possibly; he'd obviously not seen BSG at the time he said that, or something.

Meh, I care not, it's just all part of my cunning plan to get everyone to watch BSG, because they should, it's awesome.

Aww, bless the pair of you *hugs*

Strawberry Fields! I'll need to get that label...

My favourite beer label so far still remains Sheepshagger, probably because I found it so hilarious when I discovered it at age 16 (and also because I was proud "shag" had just been added to my list of English vocabulary)

Oh yeah, I think every 16 year old I knew loved beers like sheepshagger and similar. Strawberry Fields is a cider though, and very very sweet.

Speaking of 'people you have actually met,' sorta, the family and I are planning a trip to either England or Ireland in August.

On the one hand, I have family in Ireland, on the other, half my f-list are Brits. We're leaning more towards England for ourselves but more towards Ireland for the kids, as (in good Catholic fashion) I have a gazillion cousins there.

Which has little bearing on the subject, but I figured I'd mention because as I told ems, squee. So um... yeah.

I guess it really depends on how long you've got; both would probably be ideal. Either way a few days in London if the flights allow it makes sense, you'll probably change at Heathrow regardless.

It's always good to meet people you've been talking to, and it always surprises me how easy it is to just talk.
