a_sanders_myspc went to the Brit Award ceremony in his role as a Culture, Media & Sport Committee member. He's completely right about one of the headline acts: The Killers were great, Snow Patrol impressed, and Oasis were… well many describe Oasis as a great rock n' roll band; to me they are just a wall of sound fronted by a couple of plonkers.

:-) Oasis heh.. well it feels like i spent the first year at uni in sheffield listening to whats the story morning glory, and every time i hear that album it reminds me of that time. i have to say, since then i think it all kinda went downhill for them..

See, between Pulp's Common People just having been played as a 'Golden Oldie' in Radio 2 (no, I don't know why I've still got it tuned to that) and you listening to Morning Glory while at uni, I'm now feeling even more old :-(

I could never get past the dull boringness of the song to figure out what it's about. It was an Oasis song, they bored me, therefore I tried to blank it.

They were neither rock nor pop, just some godawful abomination, and I didn't like it. I know many did; I sold my copy of their first album to a good friend who did like them, but just not for me...
