The whole "not having a TV" thing? It's still fine. There are rarely any shows I want to watch, the only one currently that I'd like to be watching is Torchwood, and the DVDs will be out soon. I know that feedback has been, shall we say, mixed? But overall, I'm looking forward to watching it just to find out if it's as good/bad as people are ( Read more... )

I *want* there to be a link between Gwen and Gwyneth. Actually, I want there to be links between all the characters played by the same actor in DW/T.

Because it will make me forgive so much that has been done badly this season.

How many repeat uses has there been? I know the new companion also played a girl who died, and I now know about Gwyneth (which makes me more keen to see Gwen acted, she doesn't appeal in pictures).

But ultimately, the show seems a succes, enough for you and others to ensure it's watched, unlike certain other crappy shows we were looking forward to (I'm looking at you Robin of the Hair Salon)...

There was also a woman the other week who had played a tree on DW9 - not Cathica, as I'd thought, and Toshiko's character was briefly on Doctor Who, but I'm okay with that - same character, explanation, fine.

And yes, I think it is, and I'm glad, because it deserves to be better than it is. The actors are all fantastic, and I want to love it - the flaws are just too visible to ignore. Damn my high standards - which ironically, Doctor Who is largely responsible for.
