i netflixed pride and prejudice and watched it the other day.  i loved it.  i usually don't go for renaissance films, i find them taudry.  but this was not.  the cinematography was beautiful and the shots were so brilliantly planned.  the long shots were specifically striking.  even the special features which interviewed the cast in informal ( Read more... )

British movie recommendation(s): Howard's End -- in the spirit of Remains of the Day, but in my opinion, more interesting and enjoyable. Plus it has Helena Bonham Carter in it, so there can't be badness there. :) OH, and Wings of the Dove is great too, a dark love story.

I love Quills, that's a great choice. It's actually set in France, but all the actors are British or American, hahaa, so whatever. It's soooooo sexual, have fun!

i'm gonna see it now. didn't really care to before. i need to start keeping a list of movies i'm gonna see per your recommendations, though. i think it's getting long, but i can't remember any of them.

i liked shakespeare in love a lot. but i haven't seen it in forever.

hey, when you get some of those other movies in from netflix, and you want company, give me a call and i'll come right over. i've wanted to see gosford park and quills for a while.

i'm excited for the new season. and congrats on seeing adam. i heard you took a paparazzi shot. get me some clothes at paul frank. but nothing with the monkey.
i want to meet those celebs. each of them.

so funny.

so brilliant (you).

i need to see it still.

i work on tuesday. but i can come by afterwards.

the plot came from you. hence your brilliance.

i always have to go back and see what some of the comments are for...and sometimes it's annoying, but the fact that the continued annoyance has not kept me from continuously commenting in this manner makes me laugh, which kind of cancels out the annoyance.

i'm not a stalker. you always comment on elizabeth's journal, so i followed your link. and i just wanted to say that one song glory is probably my favorite song from rent.

or maybe la vie boheme.
or maybe tango maureen.
or maybe seasons of love.

oh geez. i just can't decide.

i'm jealous you saw him. i've only been to hollywood once, for a week, but i was a total stalkerazzi. so i'm also jealous that you live there.
