Title: Ryusei yori Dango (Boys over shooting stars) Season 2

Author: Masuhisa

Pairing: Matsumiya, Ohmiya, Sakuraiba, one-sided Junma, slight one-sided Sakumiya

Summary: In the 1st season, we left of at Jun leaving for New York. Nino was offered a job as a chef for a renowned family in New York. So when the two meet after a year, what Matsumiya-ish stuff would happen?

Disclaimer: If I was older than Kitagawa, I would have gotten to them first!

Note: I don’t like writing OCs, so the other characters will just be Johnnys.

Chapter 8:

“Sho-chan~”

“Satoshi? What’s up?”

“I got Jun to fly back to Japan with me!”

“Really? So are we going to continue the plan?”

“Yup!”

Nino didn’t know why he tried so hard to raise one million yen, but either ways, he was.

It has been five days since Oikawa left and all Nino remembered doing was work. Apart from his usual hours at George Clooney, Nino also got a job as a construction worker and another as a cleaner. DS marathons are good for something after all.

Struggling to stay awake every second and cutting down on expenses, Nino seriously felt like giving up, it wasn’t his problem in the first place, but somehow, Nino had this feeling that thug meant it when he said ‘or else’.

Nino was on the verge of fainting, when a sweet voice saved him from hitting the floor.

“Sakurai-san? What are you doing here?” asked Nino, his tiredness miraculously disappeared at the sight of Sho.

“Hayashi Rice, take away,” smiled Sho, sitting at the counter, watching Nino prepare his order.

Within a minute Nino was done and Sho was walking out of George Clooney, the box of Hayashi Rice safely in his hands. Although Nino was super drowsy, he managed to notice something unusual. Firstly, Sho ordered take away, when he usually would have eaten there. Secondly, the grin on Sho’s face indicated he was up to no good.

“George-san, I’ll be going out for a while,” yelled Nino, untying his apron and throwing it onto a nearby seat on his way to the door.

He managed to locate Sho, who was surprisingly walking when he could have taken his limo, across the street, thus Nino jogged over. Nino tailed Sho so discreetly, nobody would have guessed they know each other. But instead of admiring his stealth, Nino was trying to guess Sho’s intentions without any luck.

Then, from the corner of the street, out popped a man who dashed into Sho. He snatched the Hayashi Rice from Sho’s grasp. Made a 90 degree turn, and sped off.

“Come back here!” yelled Sho, immediately giving chase.

Not wanting to miss out on anything, Nino commanded his legs to move despite how tired he was. The scenery around him whooshed by, blending together to form a blur picture, but Sho’s back was all Nino was focusing on. Jumping over cracks in the road, dodging pedestrians, ignoring vulgarities thrown his way, Nino saw Sho enter a building, so he did the same. Up and up flights of steps Nino went, before finally bursting through a pair of double doors into a roof top.

Just around the corner, Nino could hear panting, coming from Sho and that guy who intercepted his Hayashi Rice.

Nino peered over the corner, catching a glimpse of Sho bending over, catching his breath and that guy who Nino will never forget doing the same a few meters in front of Sho.

“Akanishi Jin?” thought Nino to himself, immediately sensing trouble.

“Return my Hayashi Rice to me, Akanishi-kun,” said Sho calmly, extending his hand towards Jin.

“There’s no way I’m going to allow you and Ohno-san to ruin my plans!” snarled Jin, backing away from Sho.

“How do you know about our plan?!”

“My family’s company is not called Akanishi World Telecommunication Group for nothing you know,”

“You tapped into our conversation?”

“That’s right,” laughed Jin, “I won’t give up on Jun that easily! Why are you so desperate anyway?”

Sho stood up straight, took a deep breath before saying, “do you have any idea how much effort was put into that Hayashi Rice?”

“Sakurai-san…”breathed Nino, his heart leaping for joy.

“I don’t care!” yelled Jin, backing further and further away from the advancing Sho.

“It may be some ordinary Hayashi Rice to you,” said Sho, slowly closing the gap between him and Jin, “but to me, it is an important, precious Hayashi Rice.

Nino screamed silently in delight.

Sho kept walking forward, while Jin retreated. It wasn’t long till Jin’s back touched the boundary. Feeling the wall against his back, Jin extend his arm over the top, “If I dropped it from here, what will you do?”

“I won’t let you do such a thing!” cried Sho, dashing towards Jin, trying with all his might to retrieve his Hayashi Rice. But Jin was too fast.

“I’ll put my life on that line,” said Sho determinedly, “to save that Hayashi Rice,”

Nino felt a smile creeping onto his face despite being worried about Sho’s safety. After all, he was dealing with a guy who had no qualms about slicing his face the year before.

The pair continued moving forward and receding respectively, until Jin’s back came into contact with the wall on the other side.

“I got it,” said Jin, “I’ll return it,”

But we all know Jin the kind who doesn’t mind pouring wine all over Nino for the fun of it, doesn’t mind tying Nino up and point at dagger at his throat, doesn’t mind getting his men to brutally bash up the man he was nuts over. So, would he return a box of Hayashi Rice just like that?

No.

Before Sho could grab the box, Jin flung it away, laughing like a mad Hyena. Sho’s body reacted automatically, diving in the direction of the Hayashi Rice, his hand out in front of him, praying with all his might that the box would land safely on his hands and no where else.

Due to some divine intervention, Sho’s hands were directly under the box when it was just centimeters above the ground. Needless to say, the Hayashi Rice was safe, although I can’t say the same for Sho.

Sho got up immediately, despite having the wind knocked out of him. He threw a glare, which he didn’t know he was capable of, at Jin before walking towards the double doors which he came from.

Seeing Sho coming his way, the first thing that came to Nino’s mind was: run away.

AN: This chapter wasn't supposed to exist, but...nvm. SAKURAIBA will be in the next chpt!
