Chapter 23:
Jun didn’t know if he should laugh or be sad when he read the papers that morning. He really wanted to laugh, but not in the presence of the old hag.
‘Matsumoto Tsukasa confessed to a murder which he committed 19 years ago’ was what the headlines said.
Now with his brother out of the picture, he had every chance to take over the company which was rightfully his. Not to mention every chance of getting Nino too.
“It looks like you’d be the sole heir of the Matsumoto World Finance Group,” said Matsumoto Kaeda, pronouncing every word slowly and clearly.
Jun could barely contain his excitement while retaining his serious expression.
“You be leaving for New York in a week’s time,”
“WHAT?!”
“You do need to study how to run the business, you know,” snapped Kaeda, “and the best school is in New York,”
Jun grabbed his stuff on the sofa beside him and stormed out of the office. Once he was out, Kaeda signalled Nishida to come to her side.
“Is he still wooing that Ninomiya guy?”
“Yes, madam,”
“It looks like I have to take matters into my own hands,”

Aiba was standing inside a bookstore, waiting.
“As expected of Sho-chan to meet up in a bookstore,” thought Aiba amusedly, grabbing a random magazine off the rack, flipping through the pages. His hard work had finally paid off! Sho had finally gave up on Nino and asked him out.
“Ohno Satoshi?” he question himself. That name sounded oddly familiar. Aiba remembered hearing that name from someone before; it should be from Nino, if he remembered correctly. Ohno Satoshi….Ohno Satoshi… that guy who Sho followed all the way to France?
His curiosity getting the better of him, Aiba read the rest of the article, which was about Ohno Satoshi getting engaged to a random someone. Aiba wasn’t able to read the rest of it, for someone tapped him on the shoulder.
“Aiba-chan?”
Aiba quickly replaced the magazine and turned to face Sho.
“Sho-chan? Let’s go then!” said Aiba, pushing Sho away from the magazine rack.
The rest of their morning was spent at zoo where Aiba insisted on taking pictures with every animal there was. While viewing the animals, Aiba blabbered on about whatever he knew about them, which was probably everything.
Good things have come to an end.
“Thanks, Aiba,” said Sho, once they were about to part ways, Sho to his house, and Aiba back to his shop.
“No, thank you,” replied Aiba, “I had fun too!”
Sho smiled and gently placed a kiss on Aiba’s cheeks.
“No, thanks for hiding that magazine from me, but I knew about it a long time ago,” explained Sho, walking backwards, “That’s why I have no qualms about going out with you,”

Nino smiled as he read the newspapers. He had finally brought justice to his parents, so it’s time to move on to something bigger.
As Nino picked up his phone to text Jun, the voice over the train’s PA system said that they had arrived at his stop. Maybe answering Jun now isn’t such a good idea.
George Clooney is about a 2 minute walk from the train station, but it was possible to see the store from the second floor of the train station. As usual, Nino would glance at the restaurant, but this time, he spotted something out of place: in front of the store, was a large truck, and a few men seem to be loading it with furniture from the store, ignoring George-san’s pleas to know what was going on.
“What do you mean I have to give up my business?” he heard George-san yell, while grabbing on to a man who was carrying a bag of rice, “Is there something wrong with my curry?”
The men just ignored him and continued their job.
“Please tell me why you’re doing this!” begged George-san, now kneeling on the floor, kowtowing.
Nino felt extremely guilty. It was his fault thing turned out like this, this must be some sort of revenge by Tsukasa’ mother for throwing her son into prison.
He then walked away, his legs taking him wherever they wanted to go. Which was Aiba’s pet shop.
“Please stop!”
Nino jerked his head up, only to see Aiba and more unknown men fighting over a box, “What have I done? Why can’t I run my pet store?”
Seeing George-san’s and Aiba’s stores being taken away from them, Nino couldn’t help but think it was all his fault.
And he had to make things right again.

“Madam,” began Nishida, “Ninomiya Kazunari is here to see you,”
“By all means send him in,” she replied glancing at the door amusedly.
Nino walked towards them slowly, as if he was being forced to walk on nails, staring meekly at the floor as he did so. He had never seen Jun’s mother before, but he was pretty certain he wasn’t going to like her.
“Matsumoto-san, I’m sorry about causing Tsukasa-san to end up behind bars,” said Nino, “but it was his fault! So why are you harassing my friends?”
Kaeda laughed devilishly, maintaining eye contact with Nino as she did so, “You think this is about Tsukasa? He had always been the scapegoat since the beginning,”
Nino’s eyes widen in horror.
“I had always planned to hand the company over to Jun, not Tsukasa. Why else do you think he tries so hard to beat his step-brother in everything?”
“Step-brother?”
“That’s right,” smiled Kaeda, “But you were right about how it’s your fault your friends lost their shops”
Nino froze at the sight of her smile. Something bad was definitely going to happen.
“Stay away from Jun and the Matsumoto family,” she hissed, “or thing will get worse,”
He felt Nishida grab him by his shoulders and ‘escorted’ him out of the office. On his way out, Nino stared at Kaeda, wondering how such a demonic person could ever exist, not to mention being the mother of his prince charming the second.
