Chapter 3:

Jun was pacing in his room, a piece of paper, slightly crumpled by his nervousness, in his hands.

“To ask, or not to ask,” pondered Jun aloud.

“You aren’t Shakespeare, you know,” giggled Aiba from the door.

Jun kept the piece of paper in his pockets hastily, not wanting Aiba to see what he’s up to.

“Come on,” continued Aiba, “Johnny-san orders us to clean the kitchens,”

“Where’s Jun and Aiba?” asked Nino, when he arrived at the garden, the place where they always meet first thing in the morning.

“They have kitchen cleaning duty,” replied Sho, while patting the empty space beside him, indicating that Nino should sit.

“Nino,” started Sho, after Nino sat down beside him, “Can I see your switch?”

Nino complied and pulled out the small device from his pocket. When Sho received it, he immediately got up and ran off.

“Sho-kun!” yelled Nino, “come back here!”

“Nino, listen,” replied Sho, “I really don’t want you to die, so this way, you can press your switch even though you want to!”

Nino nodded, understanding the logic behind Sho’s actions.

“Then give me yours!”

Sho smiled and ran over to Nino.

“Nino, do you like anyone?” asked Sho out of the blue.

“Yeah,” replied Nino

“Do I know that person?”

“Don’t think so,”

“What about me?”

“What about you?”

“Jun-kun is quite good looking and a great cook too,” said Sho

“But he quite scary sometimes,” added Nino, no clue as to what’s Sho’s up to.

“Is that so?” said Sho in relief, “how about Aiba?”

“You are you trying to say?”

“Aiba is nice and cheerful,” continued Sho, ignoring Nino’s question, “compared to them, I’m useless,”

“You’re smart and reliable,” said Nino, trying to cheer Sho up.

“Really?” smiled Sho, “Are you joking?”

“Yes, I’m joking,” laughing to himself at Sho’s pout

“Hi guys!” greeted Aiba, as he wheeled himself into the garden.

“Hi,” replied Sho, “How was kitchen duty?”

“Great,” grinned Aiba.

“That’s because Jun-kun did everything,” sniggered Nino sarcastically.

Sho frowned, “Speaking of Jun, where is he?”

Aiba looked around.

“That’s strange,” said Aiba, “he was right behind me a few minutes ago,”

“Ohno-san!” panted Jun, as he chased after him, “Wait!”

Ohno stop in his tracks when he heard his name being called. He turned to see Jun rushing towards him.

“Jun-kun? Can I help you?” asked Ohno, smiling as usual.

“I was wondering if you could deliver this letter from me?” said Jun, pulling out an envelope which contains the letter from before.

“Okay!” said Ohno, “Who is it for?”

“Toma Ikuta, he’s at the head branch,”

Ohno nodded, took the envelope and stuffed it in his jacket pocket.

“I’ll get it to him,” assured Ohno, before leaving Jun.

“That’s it!” groaned Nino, “I’m tried of waiting for Jun to show up! I’m going back to my room!”

Nino got up and shuffled out of the garden.

“You’re really obvious, you know that?” grinned Aiba.

“What?” asked Sho.

“You like Nino, don’t you?”

“No,”

“It’s written all over your face,” laughed Aiba, “You really should see the way you become tense every time Nino is close to you,”

Sho frowned.

“Then why doesn’t Nino realize my feelings?”

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Nino was walking down the corridor, deep in thought.

“Sho-kun was being weird today,” thought Nino to himself, while turning a corner. Little did he expect to crash into someone.

Being the smallest in the entire centre, that other person was obviously taller and stronger than him. Therefore, when they crashed, Nino was pushed to the floor, with the other person right on top of him.

“Ouch,” whimpered Nino, back aching from the impact.

“Sorry,” mumbled the other person.

Nino looked up and saw: Ohno’s face just a few centimeters away from his own. Nino never realized how and chubby Ohno’s cheeks are, or how soft his lips looked.

Ohno stood up hastily, making Nino feel slightly disappointed. Ohno offered Nino his hand, which Nino grabbed gratefully.

“Where are you off to in such a hurry?” asked Ohno casually.

“Back to my room,” replied Nino, cheeks turning red, “what about you?”

“Finding Jun, have you seen him?”

“We were looking for him too, if you manage to find him, could you please tell him to come find us?”

“Ok. I shall go find him now,” Ohno turned, smiling to himself.

“Jun won’t be able to find you,” making sure Nino didn’t hear the last line.
