An Open Call to Valor

An assertion is merely that place where you begin. It may be right or it may be wrong, but one does not know for sure until one explores the idea. So before I begin to explore the idea I am going to make an assertion - that valor is defined thusly ( Read more... )

interesting post. good for introspection. Although you are specifically referring to the SCA and (I think) to people other than myself, I like the "lense" you've created and I'm looking at my life through it. I have my moments of personal valor. And personal responsibility. I think it's hardest to stand up and take ownership of mistakes. It means that not only did I make a mistake, but I now need to internalize that information, admit that I am flawed and make amends. It's not easy. If it were easy to do, people would be faster to apologize and less defensive.
