Couldn't agree more. That's why I said I still believe she was beaten. What will be telling is when the real details of her assault come to light.

Was she really assaulted in public? The ATM records suggest that she wasn't where she said she was.

What was the motivation for trying to lay the blame on the Obama camp? Was she speaking from her own prejudice when defining her assailant as a big black man or did someone actually talk to her (there is an unsubstantiated rumor that she spoke with Palin and McCain) and convince her to go with that lie? Is it somewhere in the middle?

The levels of wrong here are really surprising.
