Sounds okay with your sobriety halt - personally I thought you maybe bit off more than you could chew. But sticking to beer sounds like a good compromise. :-)

It tasted... like rice brandy with a weird twist I couldn't put my finger on - didn't taste like blood. I also got another glass with rice brandy - this time neon green, it was the bile from the snake, LOL. Supposed to cleanse the body. BTW it was in China.

Hehe, no, it was in 2003 I think. I was first in Beijing, then in Shiyang in middle China - travelled along with my dad who worked there at the time.

I simply love China, it was one of the best trips I've ever had...
