Aww, thanks. I'll probably never finish, but it's worth a shot, LOL. I'm bad with deadlines too, but this place doesn't care if you make it or not... it's the process.
I have a friend who has been doing that every year for several years now. Me, I probably should do it some time - or I could stick to my current tactic, which is writing a few pages once every several months on my novel. At the rate I'm going, it'll get done in ten years or so.
Hmm, I should get back to writing on it now that I have internet. I could probably write like fifty pages this weekend.
Yeah, that's if I actually get into it and get motivated. I'm at the part in the novel where I have to do some research on the location I'm writing it in. The hardest part of writing it was the first couple chapters. Since then? The hardest part is actually getting myself to write, once I do, the words tend to flow pretty easily.
Mind you, these are hand written pages, so it's not as many as fifty typed up pages, but you get the idea.
Doesn't your wrist start to sting after 3 pages or so? Mine does... It's the computer-age's fault! I'm not sure I'm going to participate anyway.... I simply can't get around to sit down and write.... gah, I feel stupid.
Hi, fellow Scandinavian here. Hope you don't mind my intrusion. :) Would you like to discuss fandom in Scandinavian or do you have fanworks to share? Perhaps you'd consider joining us over at scandafandom?
We are many Scandinavians here on LJ, but we almost all post and comment in English. I'm contacting you to try to gather us in a strong and lively Scandinavian speaking milieu, where we can get beta readers for fanfics in our mother tongue, squee over Scandinavian events, fanworks and cons (not just stare in envy at our American friends' posts from AWA...) and so on. You can talk about all kinds of fandom related topics at scandafandom, as long as you post in a Scandinavian language. See you there?
(How I found you: I searched for Scandinavian journals with recent updates. I then had a look at your profile and journal, saw that you were active in fandom and thought that you would possibly be open for an invitation. I hope I wasn't totally amiss. :)
Hi there! Thanks a lot, but I almost only write in English... I never write fanfiction in Danish. So, I'm afraid I won't join, but I really want to thank you for the invite!! I'll keep it in the back of my mind in case I should write something in Danish. I'll think about it. Thanks! :-)

I swear, it would. I can't write on deadlines, never could. My muses just wilt and die. So I'm admiring anyone you can! You go, girl :)
