So I went to my local Blockbuster the other day to rent 1408 when a certain little cross-platform, multiplayer beat 'em up caught my eye. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. So I pick up a copy for the PS2 and read what little description there is on the back and decide that I MUST own this game. They got me at the cover: a sort of cartoonish looking Spidey ( Read more... )

JESUS CHRIST ON A CRACKER, YES! I need to post a vid of Doc Ock's special move (I think it involves tentacles and a tornado, WTF) but I didn't watch it as I was on dial-up at the time. Um, here, go to the official site for more info.

My younger sister is moving to California, actually, though I don't know WHERE exactly in California (near some military base, that's all I know). I plan on road-tripping there one of these days, just like my dad did when he was my age. It's been my lifelong dream!

I'll have to look it up when I get home... It's about damn time they have Ock as a playable character in a Spider-Man game. I know quite a few people - myself included - who were hoping he'd be an unlockable in the SM2 game, since Green Goblin was the unlockable character you got at the end of the first game. BUT NO. Assholes. Least this version looks a little like movie. :P

'Some military base'... the most famous is Edwards Air Force Base, which is near LA. That's not too terribly far from Fresno, about three hours? We have an army base here too, but I doubt she'd mention it as the first thing. I hope you get to do that sometime soon. :)

Do you have a PS2? That's what I have, and I was wondering if it's worth it to buy the Spider-Man movie tie-in games. I mean, they looked pretty fun, from what I saw when my friends played it on the GameCube. And Doc Ock's NOT an unlockable character in ANY of the games? Total suckage!

Ah, probably an army base, as her husband is training to go into the Coast Guard. I'll have to ask her again. And I want to try visiting California this summer, or the next. I just need cash for food and gas, and to rent/borrow a junkie old car with a large back seat, so that I can sleep in the back instead of wasting money on hotel rooms and stuff. My dad actually traveled along the original Route 66 when he went out west! :O
