Haha, you are actually the 6th person to post today's xkcd on my flist.

That's okay, I turn 21 in a couple months. Fucking scary as hell. I am going to keep getting older, :((

Whenever I start freaking out about getting old, I think of my mom, whose stated goal is to one day be 80 years old, walking down the middle of the street buck naked smoking a cigar.

If you can't grow old with dignity and grace, at least you can stay fun and crazy?

On that note, Karl wants to, when he has to use a walker, do a dine and dash. He fantasizes about walker-ing out of a restaurant as fast as possible, cackling madly.

I think adulthood is a fictitious construct designed to mold human beings into more useful and less interesting pieces of society. All the cool people never grew up! I think you can be responsible and still be - not a child, not an adult, but who you are. Who you are plays with action figures. This is perfectly all right. And do you think all those knitters are acting like responsible adults, spending hours and hours on one piece of clothing, and tons of money, because it's fun? I think that nobody is actually an adult. So there.

Maybe getting older just makes you better at pretending.

Yes. Being an older person, I can say that is true. :S
