it's not much you have to know. just...

it has mafia with powers that come from certain flames. these flames have different powers depending on the person's attitude. there are rings that use those flames. The Sky Ring belongs to the Family head (in the fusion case, Feliciano), and its power is to unite all other rings (those belonging to the Guardians). it's a calming power. The Sun has a healing power, the storm is devastating, the mist hides and controls, and such.

(... i guess it's a great manga to read, but i am not sure you'd like it. it's crack till chapter 200ish, then turns very serious. i love some of the charas because they're very sexy...)

i guess you could read it anyway, but you couldn't truly understand the thing about flames and rings and how it relates to heta charas without a basic understanding. I could write a bit on that on a PM?

i had planned a one-shot where reborn takes tsuna to meet the Vargas Brothers, the most famous mafia family ever, whom no one puts themselves against, but i ended up not writing it. but i still have the idea in my mind. though mafia is only hot when it's not real. otherwise it's rather bad. :P
