I've been looking for employment but any place that's not customer service oriented will say something like, "Entry Level Position" and then include "Masters degree preferred" and "5+ years of experience."

Umm... that's not an "Entry Level Position." I have a piece of paper that I paid $50k+ and worked my ass off to get and it means nothing. It's who you know, not what you know. It's the way of the world. :)
