OOM: Dinner date

The door opens onto the foyer of Wayne Manor. No Alfred this time though.

Bruce is dressed in a really good suit and he seems to wear it with confidence. There's a slightly different air to him as he holds the door for her, still himself but a little less unsure of things.

'Shall we?'

X is also dressed in a really good suit.

It seemed more sensible than a dress, considering Gotham is foreign territory for her. Storm agreed. (So did Pam.)

She is, however, wearing her usual boots.

There are limits.

And at Bruce's question, she nods.

"If you are prepared."

'Always.'

He'd had to talk himself out of wearing a tux. He'd wanted to take her somewhere good and it was an effort not to go all-out.

'You look amazing.'

She always does, to him. Even with the boots.

(The tabloids are going to love this.)

Then she looks up at him, head tilted.

"You are driving?"

He grins at the touch, brief though it is.

'Uh, no. Alfred is. If you don't mind?'
