Basically I want a fic starring Ashley learning that her entire family died during the Reaper Invasion of Earth. (I always personally think of her as Brazilian so if you could work that in somehow I'd be grateful)

The woman who'd born her, nursed her, put bandaids on her knees and kissed her good night, turned into a metallic ruin by the Reapers. Ashley's aim was exceptional, the rotting flesh of the skull, once covered with the same lustrous brown hair that all her daughter's shared, was violently displaced by the bullet which put an end to her final suffering ( ... )

Huh...
That's awkward. As a Brazilian myself it never occurred to me think about her as the same. I always pictured her as being of Hispanic ascendance, but it's kinda cool to think of it like that.
I think I got a new headcannon.

Anyway, that was a heart-wrecking piece of work. So beautiful and sad.
Made me tear up badly.

Well it's stated she went to boot in Brazil, which usually you go to the closest one. Add that to her looking more hispanic and that's how people (including me) come to headcanon that :P
