Hm... I started a fic a bit like this, except that Garrus is invited (by Anderson) to Earth to be with Shepard. (After signing about a thousand forms to agree that all the information was classified.) It's a bit different from your prompt, but I'd be happy to start posting it here if you're interested.

I just can't wait for the moment Garrus gets to know that he's going to be a father. And nice job of describing Jane's thoughts on the matter there. :)

Thanks for all the great comments, everyone!Admiral Anderson marched towards Shepard’s quarters, wincing as he heard the raised voices from halfway down the hall

Garrus Vakarian was in a meeting with the primarch of Palaven when he received the message.
“This is all the funding I will put into this project until you have some proven results, Vakarian, and that’s-”
The primarch stopped short at the chime from Garrus’s omni-tool, leaning back in his chair with an annoyed flick of his mandibles.
Garrus cleared his throat. “Uh, I’m sorry, sir, I have it set to disturb me only for a priority message.”
“Go ahead and take your message,” Fedorian said, already turning away to type at his terminal. “We’re done here, Vakarian.”
Garrus stood, inclining his head with as much deference as he could manage under the circumstances. He was damn tired of the primarch constantly stonewalling him on this project. Those ‘results’ Fedorian wanted would be near impossible to get without any funding, and the primarch knew that. He wanted Garrus to give up on what he thought was a ‘foolish notion’ and go back to C-Sec or some other respectable occupation for a turian of his age.

This is a really awesome fic. I love your style, but I am really in awe of your characterisation of Anderson and Shepard. I think you have written Anderson and Shepard's relationship really well - not overly friendly, but the perfect mix of co-workers and friends. Can't wait to see Garrus thrown in the mix (and probably just thrown by what he's going to hear).

Thank you! I really appreciate the compliment about Shepard and Anderson's relationship. I've read a lot of fics where I feel like they're too close compared to what we see in the games, so I've been really trying to strike a balance. I'm relieved to hear that it's working!

Anderson walked into Shepard’s apartment, pausing at the sight of her visibly pouting on a couch with an IV line running from her hand. Some action vid was playing on the screen, but it was clear her attention was elsewhere.
“What’s this?” Anderson asked, motioning to the IV cart.
Shepard rolled her eyes, carefully maneuvering herself to sit up without tugging on her IV line. “Thank my new specialist. It’s for the morning sickness.”
“You’ve got morning sickness?” he asked, settling into a chair. “I seem to recall a certain marine telling me she had a, quote, ‘stomach of steel.’”
She grimaced. “Just one more way for pregnancy to screw with my life. You can’t even really call it morning sickness. That would imply it only happens once a day.”
Anderson chuckled at Shepard’s expression. “That bad, huh?”
“A half hour after I eat. Every time I eat,” she said flatly. “Dr. Thelize is worried about dehydration or nourishment or something important sounding so now I’m tied down to this ridiculous contraption.” She waved a hand at the cart
