I detest long ANs at the beginning of stories, but this warrants one.

Warning: This story has elements of non-con/dub-con between two women... er, one woman and one woman-like blue alien... in it at the beginning. However, the sexual relationship becomes consensual after the first sex scene.

This is pure fiction. It was written to provide entertainment, and it is NOT intended to be a realistic portrayal of sex slavery (or the resulting psychological effects) at all. This should be completely and utterly obvious, since it's posted on the Kink Meme, but it bears emphasizing anyway.

Liara starts out pretty submissive, first against her will and then by choice, but ends up pulling off some badass stunts and filling more of an egalitarian role as the story wraps up.

Shepard's nakedness should have put them on a level playing field, but Liara felt as though this was really just another way to emphasize how her captor had all the power while she had none. It was obvious that Shepard was comfortable with her own nakedness, and Liara showing that she most definitely wasn't immediately put her at a disadvantage
