A very interesting perspective there...

And thanks for mentioning Shamus Young - I went and looked him up, and he does have some very valid points. Bioware could pull a rabbit out of their hat with ME3 and tie everything together, so I withhold judgment on the series until I see what the final Act brings.

Having started ME2 again just two days ago, there are some interesting timing issues involved - for example, the conversation between Miranda and TIM regarding Shepard being "just one woman" and "don't lose her" taking place before the attack that killed her, which makes me wonder if it wasn't a complete and utter setup by TIM and/or Cerberus.
