Ooh, I really liked this. You could just *feel* Thane's immediate, parental panic when he sees Kolyat with the gun. The fascination with the gun too, along with his worries more about being punished than actually having done something wrong, really gave credit to a child too.

I liked this, a nice short. :D

Thank you! *bounces* I'm glad that Thane's panic came through. It's hard to convey that sort of thing when viewing it through someone else's eyes (in this case, Kolyat), so I am glad that it came through. Also happy to hear that Kolyat's concerns come across as those of a child.

very nice. Quite like the image of Kolyat wanting to create a response in Thane, as that inflappable calm might seem like detachment to a child.

Thanks!! That image was one that I was really trying hard to convey, so it's nice to hear that it works. We all know that Thane loves his son, but we also know that Kolyat didn't always see that.
