Looking at all that EDI concept art makes me sad, because I like almost all of it better than what we actually got. Especially the intentionally-creepy overly-mechanical concepts, and the avatar-of-the-Normandy one. And that picture of her with Jeff...

And then the Tali concepts, and I'm just going to go have a feelings party over in that corner now.

Haha I thought that second picture of Shepard was Kai Leng at first. Matt Rhodes' design sense continues to amaze me, I love that his concept art has such a distinct style to it.

It's such a shame that out of all the cool and interesting Tali designs, they took the blandest, most human-like Tali art and did a quick photoshop hack job to stick in the game. Boo.

I completely agree with your comment about Tali. I was really hoping the Quarians would be as unique as the turians in their own way...

Looking at the Cerberus troopers, that first image akes me wonder if he was responsible for the trademark Salarian suit handle. Some of the latter designs would make for interesting Volus, especially the one with the three-pointed slit visor.

Those designs for Asley make me want to cry. She looks so fierce in them.

The Kasumi-like EDI is my favourite, though I also really like the redhead version.

Human reaper concepts are extremely creepy.

Makes you wonder why they chose the derpiest design.

I really wish they'd chosen the first fetus-like one. It's really incredible and can you imagine what it would have been like to see that in the game? Absolutely horrifying in the best way.

That one was always my favorite. I can just picture it making a sound between a reaper horn and baby cries.

That Shepard vs Ashley one (second pic) was interesting. I was like, what the hell Kai Leng? Metal jaw? until I read the description. So many neat ones. I love the Tali concepts. It makes me sad that so many of these are better than what we got in the game...
