Liara loves me insufficiently in ME3?

In the Leviathan mission, there is supposed to be some custom dialog between you and your love interest. Does your relationship have to be at a certain point along in the plot? I was completely faithful to her, but we're pretty early in the game (haven't done Sur'Kesh yet).

I believe the romance needs to be "locked in" for the dialog to trigger. Which means you'd need to reaffirm the romance during the date after the Citadel Coup. Then everything should trigger properly.

Aww man. I think I have a save point back that far, but it's not necessarily worth it, even if Liara is very cute. I had a ridiculous time with bugs during this DLC and trying to relive it seems annoying.

(I had this bug where looking up caused the game to crash. I made it through part of Namikii (sp) by walking backwards and looking down. It eventually resolved with a reboot, but still)

One of my Shepards did Leviathan prior to curing the genophage, and I recall she did get the shipboard dialogue. However she wasn't a Liara-mancer, hence I can't say for sure if LI-specific stuff is affected.

She gave me some generic dialogue about the mission, but no jokes about tentacles.
