Now I'm wondering if I could find someone to do the fancy Alliance stuff on tags I got printed elsewhere, so I could have the personal information and the Alliance insignia...
I once bought a set of dog tags from an army disposal store. I then gave them to a friend who then worked at a trophy engravers to laser engrave a Decepticon symbol on one. They turned out quite nicely, it's just a pity I don't have pics of them.
You know, uglynoodles did a drawing of Joker wearing ... his dog tags. And it had full detailed info. I don't remember what it was that she'd written on them, though. LOL
And lilchickadee had Kaidan and Shepard dog tags done (professionally?) for Dragon Con, this year. I remember commentary on how awesome they looked, but I can't seem to find the pictures.
I would just get some dog tags made up at a Walmart engraving machine. You can buy the chain in the craft department. They're not going to be as heavy as real dog tags, but they'll be passable to the naked eye.
