My question to you is: how much do you like to have 'in the can' before you start posting segments? I almost feel like finishing the fic before I start posting anything so that it's totally polished, but it looks like it's going to be very long - it's at 15,000 words already and I have a lot more ideas to get through. But I'd like to keep well ahead of my posting schedule to have a safe margin for plot tweaking as things pan out (and also to avoid at all costs feeling pressured to crank something out on time).
Further to having a posting schedule, what is the ideal length for segment, whether in word count or in plot movements? And what's a good time interval for posting segments, to keep people's interest and keep them reminded to come back?
This community looks like a lot of fun and I'm glad I found it ^_^
