New Ash.
Face Only.
Hair Only. There was some interest here about reskinning Ash to get rid of her makeup and change her hair. I was originally focusing on her face since changing hair is usually nigh on impossible in ME games, but I found a work around. I couldn't change the style but I could give her a haircut through some nifty alpha ( Read more... )

Probably going to download and use it--currently doing an Ashley VS playthrough.

Implemented the same way as Texmods in ME2?

Yeah, although you have to rename Texmod to Mass Effect 3 (and the ME3 exe to something else) when you open it, and then rename them back when you hit run in Texmod to get around Origin.

I saw renaming instructions for ME2 and ME1, but wound up getting it to work without doing that. I'll see if I can do the same thing for ME3.

I am excited about this, my BroShep is just about to head back to the hospital to see Ashley so I'll see how it looks. :) Probably face only, though; I don't mind her hair, and I'll let you (or others) have a chance to smooth the bugs out of the hair texture.

The face won't replace the battered and bruised one, only the regular clean version. As for the hair, I think it's as good as it'll ever get. There are only three strands of hair in the texture which are repeated over the whole head. Shortening them leaves some bits bare (not as bad as it sounds since the scalp is painted the same colour as the hair anyway, but will cause some weirdness at certain angles). What I settled with is the best compromise I could manage to keep her looking like the Ash we know against having her all patchy.

This is lovely, thank you!

It's incredible how just having less hair in her face makes Ash look so much more like herself. Excellent work.

I'll never understand how in a war and in space, no less, male designers think women would put on makeup and wear miniskirts. gawd.

Is the pic of her without the makeup and hair or just the hair?

Do you have pictures of all three looks please?
