(Long story short: my family used to watch a lot of NASCAR racing when I was a kid. TBS used to cover several of the races, but they pretty clearly had a crappier satellite uplink than everyone else, because EVERY. DAMN. YEAR they'd have transmission problems and blame it on sunspots. I still like to use this as my excuse for everything when communications glitch out. ;)
For some reason that reminded me of the time a guy was fired from work because he told a customer that his dropped calls issue was caused by all the squirrels running on the branches of the trees around his house, and then instructed him to chase them out with a broom. It did not solve the problem.
