Only available to US residents

This sentence is the bane of my life.

Also, my girlfriend and I have been saying for months now how we'd pay through the nose to own a Mass Effect custom console. I wish they were actually selling them rather than just giving them away as prizes :(

Having read the requirements of the final "mission" this actually just seems like a sly way of getting loads of fans to publicly endorse the Kinect capabilities of the game, regardless of their actual feelings on it. I wonder how many of these videos will be used for advertising purposes?

Second only to Not available to Quebec residents for me.

Because Mass Effect fans only come from the US, of course.

Ah well, you'd have to pay me a considerable amount to utter the words "Mass Effect 3 is better with Kinect" anyway.

Actually, in this case it has less to do with where the fans come from then all sorts of legal stuff that makes it difficult for contests to be held in multiple countries - I remember reading about this somewhere a few years ago, but can't for the life of me remember where.

I smell desperation (more for Kinect than ME3).

who like to look silly in public

Actually, you can use the App without giving it tons of access to your profile (other than basic info and email address). It's one of the first options when you join, you can limit who can see the App's activity to "Only Me." The first "Mission" was to recruit Facebook friends to the "Fight" by posting a message to your wall, but you still get one entry for the contest even if you don't recruit anyone (just bail when it asks you to make the post). It doesn't look like you'll have to do the video/very public missions if you don't want to (and can still progress to the others).

Also, holy heck - $50 off a Kinect for Gamestop Pre-Orders? I wonder if this applies if you've already reserved your copy.

Generally the pre-order stuff is retroactive: can't hurt to contact GameStop and ask! :)
