Cosplay Advice?

Hey guys! I'm new here, and in a couple of weeks I'll be going to the Entertainment Media Show in London and am considering cosplaying as (female) Shepard. The only problem is with it only being a couple of weeks away, and only having a very small budget, I'm at a loss.
I was thinking a really casual Shep with an N7 tank, but don't really know what ( Read more... )

Casual might work. Depending on your sewing skills, you might also consider doing one of the "around ship" outfits, as all of those are made out of cloth, so could conceivably be made fairly cheaply/easily. (Of course, if you can't sew, that's out the window.)

Unfortunately I fail when it comes to sewing, especially on a larger scale that would be needed for that. That's why I thought maybe an N7 tank/vest, because even though I don't have one, it would be pretty easy to make.

That could definitely work. Best of luck!

If you're going for quick no-sew, I'd do the tank, and combat boots and BDU pants (you can probably purchase these from an Army/Navy Store). I'd also take a look at cheap, fake dogtags - I know our local Wal-Mart has a kiosk that lets you make knock off dogtags for 2 bucks, and they come with a chain, so you wouldn't have to purchase that separately.

EDIT: Location fail. Just now registered that you're in London. I don't know if they have Army/Navy stores over there, but it might be something to look into to see if they do. I still stand by the cheap dogtags, though.

Haha, no worries. I'm sure I could find somewhere that would sell them. Thanks for your help, this all sounds pretty doable! :)

Definitely considering the scars, as well as maybe the renegade star as a "tattoo" :)

If you get a tank top, you could say you are wearing one of the SR2 casual Normandy outfits, specifically the suit jacket one (because the pants are quite easy to replicate) but just without the jacket :D All you would need on the tank top is a Cerberus logo to make it recognisable.

The pants in this outfit actually have a white stripe running down each leg but I can't seem to find any good reference of it.
