Does anyone know of any consignment shops that might sell male clothing in eastern Mass? I'm over by lowell and am in need of things like a proper hat and vest.

You might check out Keezer's in Cambridge. Formal wear, new, used, and ancient.

Do a google maps search for tuxedo rental shops. If you can find a good (real old) one they will have a pretty good variety of vests for sale in various patterns & colors. My most-complemented vest came from an ancient little tuxedo shop. Also they should have cheap felt bowlers & tophats for sale, and should be able to order you better ones.

i'm in lowell as well- the pickings are slim from what i've seen, but i'm sure there are corners i haven't peeked into, yet. by all means, post if you find something close by.
