i think one of the differences i spy between them is that Angie does try to imbue both characters with a sense of "place"

as in, you know Boxer's got texan roots, but Rizoli is Boston all the way

Angie is amazing. I even watched Baywatch Nights with the Hoff because of her. LOL wow, really bad X-Files rip-off.

Then Law & Order as a DA. She was so brilliant and kick ass while always maintaining the sexy.

Womens Murder Club was such a great show. Sigh. Still miss it!!

Every character she plays is different and interesting. She really brings em to life and adds that little extra something something.

Rizzles is one of the best nongay gay shows I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. :)
