PATH to NY?

Sep 25, 2006 21:50

Hey all.

We're up to NYC to see Snog this weekend. So... travel and parking. I really don't want to drive into NYC and navigate and park on a Saturday evening.

Anyone familiar with the PATH train from Newark. That any easier? Seems like it runs into the wee hours for returning. How's parking in Newark?

Any other options?

Who's your daddy?

There is the Chinatown bus. Fung Wah, Lucky Star. Maybe the ones from you to NYC don't catch on fire or tip over like the MA ones do.

Snog! Cool. I saw him in NYC about 5 years ago. Great show. Ended up running into him the next day too. He smelled funny. And no matter what anybody said to him, his reply was simply "No worries, mate".

To take the PATH from Newark you do have to switch trains at Journal Square to get to the line that goes to Midtown. But the trains do run into the wee hours. Not sure about parking at Newark.
The last NJ Transit out to Newark and points toward Trenton leaves at 1:40a. When schedule permits, that is usually what I use. I park at Hamilton, just north of Trenton off of 295 (read-easy to get to).

I'm actually still trying to meet a friend from Atlanta down in DC for the SNOG show there. But thanks to work, I don't know if that is going to happen...sigh....
