Another MT class update! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

We were late AGAIN to the lesson, because my stinking brother decided to wake up 20 mins after we were supposed to leave. UGH. But I'm not going to discuss that.

Normally, it's Dancing>Drama>Vocal, right? Well, today it was Drama>Dancing>Vocal, dunno WHY, but maybe they have to alternate it for some odd reason...?

The DC sounds awesome. I completely agree with what she said today. And the "Good eeevening" part made me crack up.

As for the sops throwing you off, try cupping your ear and turning it sort of towards your face. It will block out most noise except for your voice, and it also helps if you're not sure if a note is right. You'll look silly, but it will help.

You're right about Issie. She can't keep going on like that...is there some sort of study hall thing she can go to, so she can work on some of her homework there? If there is, she should definitely try that. I hope she finds some sort of solution to this problem...

Yes, I figured out about blocking them out, but it felt odd, and I figured it would be good to blend, and practice it note-on later. I'll figure out something.

I am worried about Issie..I dunno what the situation is on study halls, but I do know that she spends most of the night studying. Her mom told her to take a break for this weekend, to re-energize and all. Said she couldn't come over to our house, though. Which makes me kind of sad, since it's been an entire week since I saw her, but...if it's for her benefit, I'll allow it. ;-)

Your drama coach is totally right, BTW. First impressions are VERY important. Me, I'm very good at those. I come across as charming, sweet, modest, talented, intelligent and articulate (HA!). Or so all my friends' parents say. I'm VERY good at charming auditioners, too. Most of the time it's like...
Me: *bounces in* Hi!
Auditioner: *smiles at my utter cuteness* Hello. And what are you going to be singing today.
Me: *grins infectiously* I'm going to be singing Someone Else's Story from Chess!
Auditioner: *gives other auditioner a look saying, 'Awwww, isn't she cute'* Good choice. I haven't heard that song in years. Shame, because it's very nice.
Me: *beams* Thank you! *to the pianist* I'm ready to sing now, if you please.
Pianist: *smiles at my utter cuteness* Sure, sweetie-pie. *starts playing*

See, that always gets me a call-back. The cute act. But at call-backs, they decide that I'm the best one there but reject me anyway cuz I don't look the part.

Heehee...I can't pull of the cuteness act. But do you have any suggestions for 20 second monologues? I need 16 bars of a song, too. But I'm not as concerned about that.
