My updateth with the MT class. So I can prove I'm as cool as you guys.

Oooh...we had our first MT class on Sat. It rocked, to put it simply. MtM and I officially applied(though there's still a major money issue, the class being $100 per month. Which really is NOT bad, for voice/acting/dancing lessons, all in one. But it's a group thing, about 20-30 kids. Not one-on-one, but SO much better than nothing), and Issie came ( Read more... )

No Day But Today is the sort of signature song from RENT (though Seasons of Love is also one of 'em...), kinda the way DYHTPS is for Miz and MOTN is for Phantom and Defying Gravity is for Wicked...know what I mean? And Good Morning Baltimore and Nicest Kids in Town is Hairspray. Which I dislike. >.< Anyway, nice...sounds like it's a cool class.

Though how the HELL do you stand up without engaging leg muscles? It's a physical impossibilty...we should know, Lou won't stand up. We pick her up, so she's on her feet, but she won't engage her muscles, so it doesn't go anywhere...>.<

Oh, and situps are good, too. And curling up on your back like a snail-y critter.

Have fun!

...

I don't DO situps. I do no exercises at all, so this is going to be very interesting. Of all the things in MT, I've always *feared* dancing the most. Not 'fear', per se. But I don't look forward to it like I do the singing and acting and costumes, etc. Not to mention the feeling of successfully completing a fun song and being exhilarated at the end. *gets dreamy look*

And I dunno how the use-only-your-back thing works. I didn't want to ask later on, because we switched Drama Instructors, and...I didn't want to have to practice it so the point would be made. *pokity*

That sounds like a lot of fun, I'm excited for you.
I can see how the rear in the air could be awkward, but just think. Only random people walking by outside saw you. You'll likely never see them again. Better than being at the front of the row and having everyone in your class watching you. :-D

Heehee...good point. I think I might be giving weekly updates on our class. It looks like it's always going to be this interesting. I'm constantly giddy inside just thinking about it. Which is seriously scaring anyone who knows me.

MtM is the giddy one. I'm....NOT.

Sounds like your first class went well! As for the embarrassing moment...theatre is full of them, believe me. This won't be your last. It happens to everyone, and sooner or later you just laugh it off whenever anything embarrassing happens.

I'm glad your first class was good!

Yeah...I'm the type to laugh it off. And I would be super surprised if stuff like that didn't happen. I just like to make note of such moments. *shrug*

I also made note of how nervous I felt the whole time. Just so that, years from now, I can reminisce. *grin*
