5. "That's kind of...uncomfortable." Oh, Car!Sam, you're such a prude. ("Dean's been in Sam's trunk, it's canon!")

And then later we found out that he was digging around in there for special oil. Oh my god.

It's not wrong to laugh at this right? I mean... I asked you if something else was wrong earlier too, but now I don't remember what that was. I'm sure it was hilarious too! Damn it!

Was it "This is like Sam Has STDs: The Season"? Because that was beautiful like a Rembrandt.

I did say that.

Careful in that trunk Dean.

He'd better be. That's where Sammy packs his ammo. Also, I suspect, where lots of their used up cheeseburger wrappers end up.

Eeeeeewww, I just grossed myself out.

I never thought there'd be any chance of Dean actually being bi or gay canonically. Now, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he came out or had a fling with a dude on the show. I mean, I'd be surprised at the writers (that'd take some balls), but not at the character. Um, yeah, Dean, we all know.

YES THIS. JUST. YES. OH MY GOD DEAN IS CANONICALLY BI.

Also <3333 at Dean showing concern for Cas. <33333333

SERIOUSLY. I'm loving this so much. I'm bi myself, and I grew up with TV tropes telling me that only the wacky (usually sexless) neighbors were gay and you can't be attracted to both sides. (Willow in Buffy "turning gay"? Pissed me off. C'mon, there's a middle ground, writers!)

BUT YES SO MUCH LOVE.

I just read a Joss interview in which he discussed the Willow thing; apparently he had a lot of very enthusiastic feedback from the lesbian community telling him no takebacks, and she can't even be bi. I still think that's bullshit; she was genuinely attracted to Oz. She's bi.

\O/ I know! That makes two episodes in a row that Dean has interacted with men with a wildly homoerotic manner. I AM SO IN FAVOR OF THIS.

And my heart nearly exploded with glee when he demanded that Trickster!Gabriel bring back Castiel.

I just adored everything about this episode &hearts

Same here! <3 There's an episode in the first half of every season that makes me go, "Man, if I didn't already need the DVDs of this, I'd sure as hell need 'em to watch this episode again."

This one was it for season 5.

on further reflection: plothole! How does Gabriel even know that Sam and Dean are in town? ENOCHIAN SIGILS. (And then how does Cas find them? Granted it took him TIME, but STILL)Gabriel lured the boys to him and was probably posed as one of the police officers in the station when they came in. And Cas did take a good long while to find them. It's one of those little things where you could take it as a plot hole or assume a phone call happened off-screen. *shrug* I'm choosing to imagine Cas trying like hell to track them down on the phone after a couple days of no contact, then actually having to do research to find them. (But I really want to see him do research hunter-style, so y'know, biases ( ... )

This was a fantastic episode. All your points and more. Loved it. Hugs show tight!

And yea. Dean was very gay this episode. Not even the barely clad gal in the sitcom convinced me to think Dean wasn't hot for Dr. Sexy. Hee, hee, hee.

Great episode. I love the way the apoclypse is all about family. Angel families, Winchester families - at the end of the day free will and families. And I love this.

I could go on and on agreeing with your post but I'll close by saying I spent most of the episode on the floor too. Pounding it with laughter. And then gobsmacked with surprise. Great episode.

Any time I spend time on the floor during an episode, that's a great episode. I think more shows should strive to put their viewers on the floor.

Yeah, no. He had way more chemistry with Dr. Sexy than with sitcom chick.

Also: WHY DIDN'T SHE GET DRESSED BEFORE SHE WALKED OUT THE FRONT DOOR?
