Masi Oka in Singapore!

Aug 31, 2007 18:37

Hey guys! I'm back from the (really!!!) short fan event held at Singapore's Vivocity. It was really, crazy in there. I was pushed around in all directions and couldn't take any good shots of Masi because well I'm short, and I arrived too late (kids, don't ever arrange driving tests one hour before a Masi appearance ( Read more... )

oh man.. I really really wanted to go but I have major preliminary exams in a week's time. ARGH!!! And Vivocity is kind of far from my house ( I know, I know, Singapore is a tiny place but still..) The crowd looks insane. They didn't report it during tonight's news, I think they are saving it till tomorrow. Also, Life Section of Straits Times is probably gonna have front page interviews and stuff, so I'll try to scan them in. Apparently they are hanging out at the esplanade/merlion bay area tomorrow for photo shoots. Very tempted to go and hunt masi down. heh. Also, he looks awfully sweet and I think he lost weight since last season.

It was really really crazy. When they were leaving, a fight broke out between some girls and a security guard? The crowd was immense.

Yeah! And Raffles Hotel too! I'm not sure if I should hit all these places in hopes of meeting him them, or just stake out one place. :D()

Aghhh prelims are a pain! All the best for them! I hated them so much. Masi would want you to do well in school so study hard! ;D

Masi went to Brown! He definitely knows the value of studying hard (but then again he does have an IQ of 189). I don't think I will hunt them down tomorrow if the crowd is gonna be this crazy, and I think it will be this insane because Life reported their whole itinerary and I am sure there are thousands of people who would want to stalk/meet them

Yeah.. =A=;; I'm hoping most Singaporeans magically skip that part out. TODAY also reported their itinerary I think... PLEASE DON'T BE OBSERVANT ABOUT THE NEWS FOR ONCE! >_<

There's a possibilty that the crowds might thin out, because they're heading to different places at undisclosed times, but weekends are always crowded...

What was his reaction like? I am insanely jealous of you right now but also really glad that your efforts paid off :D That's really cool that you managed to give him the doll.

I think this whole world tour thing is pretty awesome, just saw some photos of the Europe group and the guys had to wear suspender-like things (which are seriously the funniest-looking things) as part of their Germany stop.

He had this "O:" expression on his face, momentarily shocked, because my friend started shouting "SHE'S YOUR BIGGEST FAN" and I had this huge banner blocking him. And then he recovered and started waving it to this video camera in front of him. It was adorable. >o<

OMG. They made them wear lederhosen!? Priceless. This World Tour really wins at life.

That's the word for it? Cool, learnt something new today.

Masi sounds so cute!!! I will meet him one day! lol. I just found a video here http://paced.blogspot.com/2007/08/heroes-at-vivocity.html, showing how crazy the crowd was today. Poor Ali Larter is clinging on to Masi for dear life.

We all want to be Ali Larter right now. It was bordering on dangerous really, the crowd. Everyone was just pushing and even as the security was trying to clear a path for the Heroes to leave, everyone started pushing forward again. For people leaning against the barricades (like me), it was like being squeezed like an orange. :O

Hello! I was there today & I managed to snag a spot right next to the red carpet behind the barricades near the front to the left of the stage. (I know I'm not making any sense hahaha)

So cos of exams I didn't get time to make anything for Masi, but he made my day by waving into my camera phone while I video-ed him walking down the carpet.

Just wanted to share! :D

Ah! I was at the start of the red carpet at first, and then ran all the way to the right side of the stage. Managed to get right at the exiting barricades when they left, and then ran to the bus. LOL. It's a Masi Marathon!

If you saw a girl with a mess of curly hair jumping up & down on those blue plastic seats as the cast tried to get off the stage to take a photo, you might have spotted me. Haha!

But the crowd was crazy! I heard the personnel in charge saying there was a whooping 45,000 people present!

Woah. 45,000 people? Make that 45,000 TALL people! I'm only around 155cm and I couldn't catch a glimpse of them once they got to the stage. It was pathetic. D:

Holy shnikeys!

When I met Masi there were *MAYBE* 35 or 40 people there, hence my ability to actually have a conversation and join the Team. But that's just INSANITY!!!! Seriously!

That few people?! Gaaah, I'd give anything to have such a small crowd! The actual number reported in the papers today was about 800 - but it sure felt like 45,000.
