Uncharted WorldsI think this may have been the only Space Opera on offer at the con - pretty typically SF is under-represented at KapCon. I've often pondered why it's easier to imagine nameless horrors from beyond space and time organising cultists to summon them than flying through space and meeting intelligent aliens, but there you are. There was meant to be a "Dune" game, but the GM had to pull out. Whereas there was technically more Cathulhu than Cthulhu - 3 of the first, only two of the second.

And to swish aside the curtain: there were no clocks and no fronts. I was genuinely working with what you gave me and a list of questions - most focused on the initial action, one for "what's in the box", and then a couple about where you take it. Its a game which is amazingly easy for a GM in the right mindset and with a head full of SF tropes to run as a one-off. But you can end up written into a corner (or in this case, with something... too big?). In a campaign, we'd then explore that corner, use the events of the first session to generate action later and so on. In a one-shot, I'm just after the feeling that this was a really cool pilot, and I'd like to play the rest please.
