Are some people aware that when you add an email to your contacts list in gmail, it gets automatically filled in with the associated profile? Because I've noticed some people's emails are linked to their Google+ page and some personal info turns up when I add them. Are some people aware that when you add an email to your contacts list in gmail, it gets automatically filled in with the associated profile?

I also learned (on accident) yesterday that if you have an Android based phone and you have emailed someone from your GMail account (thus have contact details for them of some sort) that your phone stores their phone number EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT. (I went to call my insurance agent. Who I didn't have his number stored. But as I was searching for his email, it was all "did you really wish to call him at 555-1212?") Its a *leetle* creepy.

Oh that is creepy. Another reason to add to the list of why I'll never be getting an Android phone. Not to mention, Google keeps trying to make me list a phone number in Gmail too. DNW >:(

Here's what makes it even creepier- I have friends who have NON GMail accounts and it is able to magically find their info too (despite NEVER HAVING EMAILED THEM) based on names/phone numbers.

(Though I now TOTALLY have a 'fall guy' for my stalking research persuasions. ;-))

Ugh. Why, Google, why?
