Me: "So, I've been exploring the idea of maybe getting top surgery in the future?"

Other person: "But you've already got a small chest. Why would you want surgery?"

Me: "Because there's still enough there to mentally throw me off.

I think I got through to my mom about it finally after pointing out the difference of reactions between me and her on the subject of women's boobs getting bigger after the age of 40 due to the aging process. That key difference being that she's only annoyed by it (she's in her mid 60's)- while even the mere idea of it, for me, is causing me varying amounts of stress/distress. Like it bugs me the fuck out, and I'm only 32 years old.
